halo-halo 2007 / bmc on youtube!

we participated in the recently-concluded "halo-halo 2007: a songwriting and band buffet" battle/contest/thing. there were 130 entries, 75 made it to the semis, and we ended up being in the top 12. :)

here's the youtube video of "spaghetti":



"spaghetti" was our entry. it will be in the compilation cd (along with the winning entries of the 11 other bands) slated to be released around august (late july?). the other song we played was "delayed". both were written by kuyakurt.

what we've been doing

hello! :D tagal nang hindi na-update neto, ah. nu na ba ginawa ng blue martian cookies since then?

(not in chronological order)
- after that last katha gig, kuyakurt was asked to perform in the "best of katha" songwriters night. hanep. si tootz, kasali sa "best of". :D way to go, tootz! among other things, pwede na namin sabihing nakasama na namin sa gig si ms. aiza seguerra, saka si mr. moy ortiz of "the company".

- nagkaroon na ng dalawang separate productions na ang nag-spearhead ay si kuyakurt. both were held at the freedom bar anonas. we (well, kurt, mostly...) both lost money on both prods. haha. owell. charge to experience.

the three little pigs (with sir uglyguy and sir vader, airsofting brothers from the team last patrol airsoft group) played in both prods.

- we have gone back to recording. we record at the tone chef studios in ermin garcia, cubao. right now, we have two cuts ready. once we get more moolah, we go back in for a couple of more songs.

- si tootz, na-adik na sa ersop. :D

- si kenneth, nakabili na ng bandmobile (hahahaha! tagaytay na yan!). perfect for a growing family. :) saka naka-bili na rin ng bass overdrive.

- si eph, si marvin at si eric...pogi pa ren. :D
